On February 9, 2013 the Glenbow Museum of Calgary held its second annual fundraiser event. I am not of the type to attend major fundraiser galas of hospitals or other societies for the simple fact that bloggers don’t exactly have a lot of funds. But I am always up for raising a glass of wine for a toast. So there I was.
I attended a pre-event fashion party titled ‘SCHMANCY style’ that showcased latest runway designs and styles from the distinguished house of Holt Renfrew. A sample of the collection showcased that evening is presented below. If you want to check out more styles from that evening it is available at this Pinterest board.
The host for the main SCHMANCY evening was Canadian TV host and icon George Strombo.
The entire musuem was setup as a moving gallery and where usually the floors are quite and still, it turned in to a venue where the public became the art and the wall installations became the spectators.

I was inspired by the style of Rhett Butler from the classic film Gone with the Wind. With my own little twist of course.
So folks, if you plan on visiting Cowtown
Remember it pays to be Fancy at SCHMANCY
