It is amazing the treasures one can find in one’s backyard! Especially if that backyard happens to be a place called Drumheller, in the eastern part of the Canadian Province of Alberta.
This part of Alberta is one of my favorite places in the world. Why? Well, you will just have to step in to this enchanted Badlands to discover it for yourself.
But this is no kitschy promo for some travel and tourism organization. I promise you, this is one of the few places in the world that can literally transport you back to a time in the past and make you feel so.
In this enchanting haunted place you train it from outside and walk INSIDE an abandoned wooden coal mine tipple, at the Atlas Coal Mine Heritage site.

Or dare a visit to the still active ghost town of Wayne, AB, across 11 bridges that span the Rosebud River.
Or dare to cross the Rosedale Suspension Bridge – WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED!
