| August 25, 2022

If you are reading this post first time, I suggest you first read Part 1 of this story.

If you are seeking a family oriented adventure Eco Tour Vacation and Excursion in Costa Rica Atlantic on a budget , Budget Adventure Travels recommends the Rainforest Adventures Costa Rica Lodge.

The lodge is also an excellent option for hosting corporate retreats for North American companies seeking a unique destination that is both good for the company bottom line, provides a more intense immersion with nature, and aids in eco-tourism in one of the most peaceful countries in the world.

THE LODGE

I have showcased some of the notable aspects of the lodge and physical surroundings below.

THE TREK

When staying overnight at the lodge, your group will be assigned a dedicated rainforest guide who stays in the lodge overnight. This is important to mention since at night, the lodge premises is totally void of staff save for a night guard and the rainforest guide! Told you privacy is guaranteed! And since the accommodation is limited to about 12-15 cabins only, a group can expect to have a low group-to-guide ratio, offering a very interactive and immersive experience.

THE FOOD

There is a dining hall and kitchen in the lodge but no 24/7 restaurant on-site. Kitchens staff come in from nearby towns 3 times a day to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Other times, there are snacks available on-site during the day. But there is no grocery store nearby, so if you plan on an extended stay, make sure you carry some personal supplies and never skip a meal in the dining hall!! Ever.

THE FLORA

The bio-diversity of Costa Rica is undeniably world-famous. A sample tour of what you can expect to encounter.

THE FAUNA

There are variants on the populace across the country. This is a sampling of what you can expect to encounter on the Atlantic side.

THE COST

The goal of Budget Adventure Travels is to always seek unique and memorable adventure travel experiences that are affordable to a typical working class family in North America. While acknowledging that tour and total vacation prices is affected by various factors, such as season, distance traveled, local events, booking negotiations etc, it still warrants a general overview of expected pricing to look at a ballpark number.

Disclaimer: I research extensively on budget adventure tour options in Costa Rica prior to this travel. In my opinion, the Rain Forest Adventure Lodge offers the perfect balance of affordability, serenity, and uniqueness in the experience for singles, couples and families. I initiated the contact with this company. A portion of the stay was sponsored by the company. All opinions are my own.
